The MNC is a live-literature party; Derry’s only regular event for spoken-word, poets, rappers,singers, actors, storytellers, comedians…in short, for all. held on the last Monday of each month at Sandino’s Bar. Our featured acts for this years MNGC are spoken-word powerhouses Temper Mental MissElayneous (rapper, Dublin):

TMM will be supported by Belfast-based queer spoken-word artist Anthony Ferguson, a slam winning performance poet. he has performed from his native North Coast all
the way down to Dublin and at festivals in between like Stendhal and outburst. he is the regular host of Red Pill open Mic nights in the Sunflower Pub and hopes not only to create opportunities for queer Irish performance poetry at every turn but also to be the first poet on Mars.
There will also be a queer oPEN MIC section, where all LGBT+ writers/performers and allies are encouraged to sign up to present their own work or pay tribute to a queer writer of their choice.
