We found out yesterday, the 5th of February, that our great friend, Terry McCartney, had died, and honestly, we’re too shocked and sad to really say much about it at this stage.

Terry was the man behind gayderry, a fantastic volunteer for Foyle Pride, a campaigner for gay rights, and a good friend to many.
He was always there when you needed help, or a chat, or anything really.
He was a true gentleman, and brilliant company.
We know he would have been delighted to hear about the vote for marriage equality in the British parliament, and it’s thanks to him, and those like him, that such a vote was possible. We will think of Terry, and we urge you to do the same, every time something positive like this happens, and we get a step closer to the acceptance and equality that Terry fought so hard for.

Our thoughts go out to his family at this difficult time.

Terry, we love you and we miss you,

Rest in Peace, Friend.
